I might only 18 but got a brand new car (16 plate ). I got it around 6 months ago and I'm looking to modify it a little bit. I was thinking to start with an induction kit. (. Cold air intake) I know this does nothing to performance but I only looking at it being a louder car right now. But obvs not extremely loud what do you recommend. Im a mechanic so I most likely know how to fit what ever is recommended

I was about to say just run open headers but you said not too loud haha.
I'd say a nice aftermarket exhaust system from Flowmaster or Magnaflow or something.
Another route could just be to get an aftermarket muffler. EX: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Go with an aftermarket muffler.
I bought one for my Subaru and the sound is so nice.
I wouldn't cut headers(very loud and can mess up the car).

Yep, the only right way to make a car louder is deleting the cats, getting different headers, getting a smaller muffler, or getting bigger exhaust pipes.

A cold air intake actually does increase the HP. Also without spending alot of money you could get new mufflers and tips and maybe cut your cats if your wanting it really loud

More often than not a CAI intake will not increase HP or torque. There are a few cases where it may go up like 5 HP but it generally goes down. The reason for this is most vehicles already get cold air. My truck got it from the fender, and my car gets it through the front grill. A CAI does not do this, it just opens up in the engine bay allowing hot air to get in.

Not to mention that they usually use a re-usable / washable air filter that no one ever cleans.
