My dads birthday is in a few weeks and recently his computer broke down. For his birthday I want to build him a new computer. My dad is into pc games so i want it to be able to play Battlefield 1 and Ark. He does not have a monitor either so something 1080p and not too expensive. Again the budget is $1000 including the monitor. Please help me as soon as possible

Please dont recommend shit powersupplys in builds, Its not a good idea to search for the cheapest of each part. Also its pointless to buy a unlocked i7 to then stick it in a h motherboard, he also wont benifit much from the i7 as hes only gaming so i5 makes more sense.

Its a bit over but its a build without compromise.

Over OP's budget. 6700k on H110 chipset? Huge waste of money. Bad cooler choice. Sound card is a waste of $120. Reference RX 480s are terrible. You can get an aftermarket 6GB GTX 1060 for around the same price as a reference 8GB RX 480, and the 1060 will out-perform the 480. Absolutely terrible PSU. I'd be surprised if it lasted as much as a week. Pretty poor quality, over-priced monitor.

Eh? Low profile cooler? Cryorig H7 is the same price, and will perform better, especially on an unlocked CPU. Kek at BenQ monitor, GG on the troll. /meme. Over-priced RAM fam. Also, 4GB DIMMs r kek. Over-priced SSD. SP550/Trion 150 are cheaper and better, or even the AMD R3 SSD's. 750W PSU is unnecessary really. Case is fine, but I'd recommend an Enthoo Pro M, or Eclipse P400(s) instead. They're better quality with more/better features, for a similar cost. Also, GTX 970?

OP- Unlocked CPU is probably pointless, as I assume your father has no interest in overclocking. Here;

It's not over budget. i5 will be plenty. Grab a Z170 motherboard and a 6600k if you want to overclock. If you do want to do that, you'll probably need to grab a 240GB SSD instead to fit those within budget. 8GB RAM is fine, but you can still easily add another 8GB DIMM and still have room to upgrade in the future. Nice big SSD, should be more than enough. If not, you can add an HDD at any point. Nice GTX 1060 with a backplate. GTX 1060 > GTX 970 and RX 480. Nice fully modular PSU. Maybe you can get some custom sleeved cables or extensions in the future. I included an ultrawide monitor because it can be had within budget, and is objectively better. However, if you'd prefer, or want to save money or whatever, you can get a 1080p monitor instead.

Z170 motherboard I'd suggest if you want a better mobo or OC capabilities in case you go with an unlocked CPU or want to upgrade to an unlocked CPU;

If you're not overclocking and don't need/want a Z170 chipset motherboard, but want a nicer motherboard, MSI B150M BAZOOKA or B150M MORTAR ARCTIC are both good choices, with some more white accents.

1080p monitor, if you're not going for the ultrawide;
