Oh boy, here we go. Get ready for a long one guys.

So starting off in the first year of middle school, it's no different from the last grade. You still have class work you have to do, you still have class mates, and you still have grades. The only difference i grades are A,B,C,D, and F instead of 1,2,3 and 4. Other than that, it's just a different place, different teachers, same students and same work. It isn't some had big bad place, it's the ame as where you just came from. Some will tell you that middle school grades don't count and that is kinda true. College and jobs look at high school, but I'm sure if it's a draw between you and the next guy for a job, they will look at grades and performance all the way down the line. This doesn't mean don't try, you always want a good grade.

Going on to high school. Same thing as middle school, it's the same crap in a different place. In high school for me at least they gave us a lot more freedom. In middle school we couldn't chew gum, use our phones, etc. In high school we could, but with more freedoms there is also more responsibility. Teachers aren't going to pester you as much to do your homework. You did it or you didn't.

General school advice no matter where, don't always do what the school says. I'm not saying go out and break all the rules, I'm saying sometimes you have to do what works. For example I used to get bullied. The school wants you to tell an adult and that kid will get in trouble and in my case this happened for 3 years. The kid would bully me, I'd tell an adult, he's get his class moved, suspended, etc. 3 years of this and nothing got done. When I left that school I put the kid on the ground and that solved the situation. Was it against the rules? Yeah. Did it solve the issue after the school failed to? You bet it did. I'm not saying fight your bullies, I'm saying don't drag out the schools B.S. for ever like I did. In this case, after a month if there's nothing changing, do what ever you have to do within reason (basically don't kill them or hurt them for life).

Don't be afraid of being the nerd. Be the best you can be in school, sure you may not be "cool", but I'll tell you a cool feeling in a second. Spend the time and study to get that grade as best as you can so you can get into what ever college you want to, or look good on a job resume. I was a fat rolly polly "nerd". I was the quiet kid in the class who got his work done and got out. No girls talked to me, I was an outcast. Come 10th grade when I bought my truck, and everyone seen I had some money (because I got all my work done and got a job in the 7th grade), now all of the sudden I'm the most popular lame kid lol. Today now that I'm graduated, where are these people? I don't see many of them. Back to that cool story though, today I was at work and seen one of those kids who gave me a hard time in school, not a bully but just not a nice guy lol. He asked how I was doing, I reply as I always do saying "living the dream". Him being a dick asked what's so good in my life and I was so happy to respond with "I'm making $49 per how today, what's so bad in your life?" He said he's serving me my lunch at minimum wage lol. Before anyone asks, I'm a union carpenter, starting wage is $24.55, but today is Sunday so it's double time. Anyway, that little bit of today further solidified that being an outcast nerd was totally worth it. What can you say about the guy you used to be an ass to making 3x as much as you?

All in all, do your work, it's not a party and don't worry about what other people say.

year 7 is easy 2 months in, after those two months you can relax until year 9. When your in year 9 get ready for the harder shit.
(Ive finished school, been to college finished that, taken a gap year and attending university next year)

Its not as hard as people think to put your head down and do some work. Might learn something if you do.

Bring a pencil case with spare pens, erasers and sharpener you'll become everyone's friend. Also don't start smoking just because you see other people doing it because you'll end up wasting money in the long-run and wished you never started.

It's a test where you jog from one spot to the other when you hear a 'beep' sound.
