I am a oncoming senior and I am behind in credits. Not a lot only a few. About 2-4 credits behind. I have no career choice in mind and I lost all hope for myself. I don't want to be a nothing but I would like to do something for a change. I don't do much and I have started to get into researching military requirements and recruits. I am thinking of either a ARMY NATIONAL GUARD or an AIR FORCE NATIONAL GUARD. If all comes to hell on that, I was thinking of being an active duty & reserve for either the Army, Navy, or Marines. I don't know if this is the right path for me but I would like to know some opinions on it because it is a hard decision for me because I have to talk to my school college advisory about this in a few days. Thank you! I will reply to any comments.

Well bro you're still very young you have a lot to learn and if sometimes doing something like that can help but don't look at it as your only option you still can go to community college get a job save your money there are plenty of ways to make a livin invest in your future bro. But I am swearing in tomorrow to become an u.s army soldier and i feel that it was a great choice for myself do you think it would be a good choice for you?

Well I mean I don't see school much as a help for me because I do have entrepreneurship in mind as well and I have family members that will help me on it. I do look at marketing and do my own research for things that I can find helpful for myself such as reading stock marketing and such. I tend to find it more useful for me because I am a self-determined person which is why I thought it'll make a good thing for use in the military because not only would I be protecting the U.S , I would be making myself my own living at a risk for what I have as a depressing life. I don't see the military as an escape because I have family members in the military and are reserves as well as of right now. So it's all in the family, just I see it as something I can do to make something of myself from being nothing. If you know what I mean.

Im in the same position as you bro.Grades are sh*t in school and want to join the military.Just finish school man that would be my advice even if you do bad atleast you will have something its better than nothing. If you know in your heart its the right thing to do and you truly want to do it then go for it.But if its a last resort kind of thing just look at your options.Good luck man!

You should never ask people if you should join the military it's a big choice that you need to make up on your own

Personally man, I don't think you should join the military just because you have no other choices. I see those people in here, and you know what ends up happening to them? Dishonorable Discharge. And now it's gonna be harder to get a job in the civilian life.I can instantly tell who the shitbags are when I first meet someone, now I can't tell you any experiences based off of people in the national guard. Honestly the only time I was with people in the NG was in basic training and all of them were there for college, if that's what you want to do then I say go for it. You earned it, it's better than those people you see on the news protesting because they want free college but did nothing to earn it.

I'm just saying if you feel like joining Active Duty Army because it's a last resort you are NOT going to like it. I'm not sure how POGs (people other than grunts) are but a lot of people who joined the Infantry don't seem to like it. Personally I like to be optimistic about these types of things and I'm waiting to at least deploy when I get out but that's just me. I only know like one other guy who's totally optimistic like myself though, lol. A good chuck of people re enlist but a majority of people serve one contract and they are done, since the Army isn't what like they expected.

I have no idea how the Air Force is either... I hardly see them work.

Its honestly up to you, its a hard and life changing decision. It is also a very risky job espically if you do activities duty.

The military can be seen in different views from a lot of people. But if you think about all of the benefits (financially) and (long run). It'll not only change you as a person, but it'll also teach you how to work hard for what you want in life. Being in the military isn't a bad thing as you're serving for your country, and getting everything paid for, while you're doing so. If you're looking for a more get deployed and be safer type of a job, I'd suggest Army. If you're more of a flight related person Air Force, but really but it all comes down to is what you get on the ASVAP.

Overall, I'd suggest you check it out.
