I know that 10,000$ is not a lot for a car as nice as a mustang GT but I was wondering if you guys think I would be able to get a 2002-2006 for that price, I only want v8. Also GT's are what i prefer but any other type of mustang with v8 (cobras) I'm not that good with cars but the things I have listed I know I want. I want to get the things that I listed so that later down the road I can add upgrades as I go.

I would look towards 03-04 Mach ones, or any 99-04 Cobras as those make the most power factory between 99-2010

99-01 Cobra make 320 at the crank
03-04 Mach ones are factory rated at 305, but dynos have shown way higher numbers
And 03-04 Cobras make 390 or something like that, and they can make 500+ HP with just a smaller pulley and tune.

Finding an 03-04 Cobra would be difficult at 10k, but they do show up.
My car is an 03 GT that makes a little over 400hp, but its built.
Previously my car had a Vortech V2 Blower and made 368 at the wheels with 8lbs. You can get a used kit for $2k, so dont spend it all on the car if you get a GT. You can get nice ones with lower mileage for around 5-7k depending on where you live, maybe even cheaper. Goodluck! Also 2010 was the last year for the 3v, which only make like 315hp. The 2011 models got the high power 5.0

Were are you located? I'd look at the 99-04 Cobra's like Magnaflow suggested, I personally think they look a little easier to work on, they're a little cheaper and a lot easier to find (in my area anyway).

North Carolina, I would like to stay in my state only but I would possibly go to a state near me if the car was worth it.

Thanks for telling me, I will check all those out and see if any are around my area! I saw your car in the topics and I absolutely love it! For sure would like to find a 03 GT in my area...

Goodluck man. I love my car, its an absolute blast. Even bone stock its very fun to drive. Not the fastest car on the road in stock form, but super fun none the less. Now, if you get a mach or cobra, youll be hard to beat in stock form. Especially in a cobra. 03-04 Cobras still can run with 5.0s and with a smaller pulley, the 5.0 falls behind. Id look more towards a 01-04 if you go for a GT. The t45s in the 99-00 are really clunky. Not saying they arent strong, but the t3650s are a much better tranny.

What is low mileage to you? I want mileage that will last me quite a while.

Here is how I would look at pricing of a Mustang. Beings that they are a cheaper car, it's pretty easy. I look at every 10k miles is worth $1k up to 200k miles. I look at 200k miles as the general death of a gas vehicle. Yes I know a lot of vehicles make it way past 200k, and some never see 200k, I just use it as a general guide because at 200k you can expect the vehicle is worn and may need major repairs.

Anyway, back to my point. In a perfect world, for 10k you should be able to get a decent Mustang with 100k miles. This would be the newest one, and older because you could probably find a 1990's Mustang with less miles for less money, right? Let's say in general you can get a 2004 Mustang with 100k miles for $10k, that's your max and go down from there.

You can get a 04 with that much for way less. 5-7k easy. Mine has 129k on it now, bought it at 112k, no issues so far. The motors in these cars are bulletproof. The 4.6 modular blocks are used in alot of vehicles, so parts are cheap. Id look towards 60-90k miles. Shouldnt be hard to find them at all.

I'm just making a general statement of how you should look at one of these vehicles, 2004 was just a random number lol.
