Two people have been killed and up to 16 more injured after a shooting at a nightclub in the Florida city of Fort Myers, police say.
Officers are at the nightclub, which was reportedly hosting a party for teenagers. Victims have not been identified.
Police have detained one person of interest in connection with the shooting.
The attack happened around 00:30 (04:30 GMT) on Monday morning at Club Blu.
Local broadcaster WINK says that witnesses at the scene described the club as a "mad house". All injured victims are reportedly in hospital.
The gunman entered the club and opened fire hitting people as young as 13 in Club Blu, in Fort Myers in Florida.

This is horrible. I have no idea what this world is coming to. I feel like I hear a similar story every week. I mean, people as young as 13 ?! They're just kids man, this needs to stop.

No idea why people keep refering to it as a horrible planet or world. This kind of stuff doesn't happen in countries except America. You can't blame people living on the otherside of the world for something that you created.
Hopefully the thirteen wounded people recover and get better and the shooter/shooters are found.
EDIT: Please don't get confused about the differences between a terrorist attack by ISIS (which are happening all around the world) and a civilian with a firearm commiting a mass shooting. These are not the same things and I'm as far as I know this had nothing to do with ISIS.

This planet is one run by a vile, disgusting species fueled by war, hate and murder.
The recent year has been horrendous for us as a people. Right now, this is a vile planet, a place you can't feel safe doing a daily routine.

There were 2 attacks in Germany this past week I believe. The attacks in France. Hospitals in Syria were attacked and a two-day old baby was killed.
There have been many attacks across the world and it's just sad. It's hard to feel safe anywhere anymore.
EDIT: I agree that this happens way more often in the United States. But there was a shooting at a shopping center in Munich a few days ago. I was just saying that there have been many attacks whether it's ISIS or not across the world. I'm not from the US either, so I know the kind of tragedies that happened outside of the United States.

It's disgusting that the gunman opened fire on people as young as 13... smh This world is getting stronger with violence each week.

I never was able to understand violence.. But I guess I'm just a lover and not a fighter.. It makes me really sad and uneasy seeing people even children having their lives taken away so suddenly for no reason. I wish that everyone could just get along together. Lol even though I've already know that'll never happen, one can always hope in the future it will
