So, I have played Call of Duty for a while now and I can completely agree that it is different than what it used to be. But that's just breaking the ice on the whole "CoD is dying" situation.
I mean to be honest, it is different. And not as many people enjoy it or play it anymore. The game developers keep putting us way too far into the future than we have ever wanted and it pisses so many people off that I can understand why people think that CoD is dying.
As well as Call of Duty, the whole sniping / trickshotting era has gone down SEVERELY. Like FaZe for example, I used to binge watch montages and raw clips for hours on end. But now it's all cut comms (which I don't have an absolute problem with. Some I find quite enjoyable) and vlogs (*cough cough* FaZe Rug *cough*) which is just not the same as how it used to be. It is sad to see a game that was once so popular just deteriorate and not be as enjoyable.
Like the Infinite Warfare trailer broke 3 Million DISLIKES before the games even reached the shelves! While the new Battlefield trailer has at least 2 million likes and virtually no dislikes. That's because Infinity Ward thought it would be a great idea to send us to space and completely ignore all of us Call of Duty players' requests about having "Boots on Ground" style of gameplay. I just don't understand.
As for fake clips, well, that is a whole new topic. The amount of fake clips at this point in the CoD community is just beyond belief. I remember sitting down and grinding MW2 6 mans for hours and hours trying to hit a shot and now it's all just nac mods with EB and aimbot. It's heartbreaking and I know that CoD will never be the same again.

I have a bit of an indifferent approach, trickshotting killed cod for me... It was fun to join a game and just play, but when people started demanding that if you dont quickscope or that if you dont trickshot in pub games that you would be harassed.. yea that did it in for me, what a toxic community cod is now. But yeah the whole completely ignorning the community and just continuing to go deeper into space is hilarious to me, only now have people began to realize that Infinity Ward, Activision and Treyarch dont give a shit about you... theyve never given a shit and its kinda sad that it took this long but oh well.

It pisses me off to see the good classic Cods slowly get abandoned when imo they are way better than half of the too far into the future. I hate all the futuristic games now I preferred the "back in the day games"

i respect that. trickshotting and sniping isn't for everyone. it's just something that i personally enjoyed doing. but i do agree with you. CoD has been dead since BO1

Yea I remember the old FaZe and the old OpTic on CoD4 and MW2 its not the same at all its a whole new generation in my opinion.

Quickscoping in general killed cod for me because I love just sitting somewhere, hiding, as a sniper does, and picking my marks and hoping that if I sit still long enough, people will forget where I'm at. And now, if I use a sniper for it's purpose, my mic is exploded with this:
"OOOOOH UR BAD U NO QUIK SKOPE. UR BAD KID GET OFF OF ECKSBAWKS IF YOU AREN'T GONNA PLAY RITE. OMG GUISE LOOK AT THIS KID HES BAD *4 more people join in, in unison* OOOOOOH SO BAD KID PLAY RITE OR GTFO"
And it's just really annoying that I can't enjoy the game anymore for reasons like that. It's not fun muting the whole lobby because then it's just quiet and boring :/

I completely agree with what you're saying, CoD has died and now me being a hard core CoD player back from Call Of Duty 3, I no longer want to even play anything, I barley hop on my RGH to mod CoD anymore, Just going to stick with Battle Field.
