MSGaming wrote I use a 8350 for gaming. It's better than any quad core Intel cpus on the market now.

Stop spreading false information. Show us proof that the 8350 beats the i5-6500 and then we'll stop making fun of you, but we all know that's not possible lol.

Sanctorum wrote Upgrade that monitor and add an SSD. 1080p is ridiculous with a 980Ti. Top kek at 'upgrade' to a 5 year old socket that's been dead for years, GG.

I think I'm just gonna go with a CPU upgrade. This got kinda out of hand with name calling and other things lol. I definitely am going to stick with 1080p now though. I love higher resolution but I like to play on maxed out settings on new games. Even with a 980 ti, I get like 65 fps on games like Witcher 3 and The Division. Some games like assassins creed don't even hit 60. I'm kind of a 60 fps snob. Anything worse bothers me. People say thats bull and you can't tell the difference but I see what I see.

Don't really need an i7 for gaming as they are aimed at video editors and people who use programs which require more cores. I'd recommend you get an SSD, then put the OS and some of your important programs on there. A 980Ti is fine for 1080p gaming and you won't really need to upgrade for a while.
