MSGaming wrote I use a 8350 for gaming. It's better than any quad core Intel cpus on the market now.

That's weird considering a dual core Haswell i3 out-performs an FX 8350 in gaming. So yeah, a Skylake i5 is definitely better, maybe dont suggest a downgrade when a user is looking for an upgrade. Especially when they have a 980Ti, considering an 8350 will bottleneck it. Also, i7's are quad cores and significantly out-perform any AM3+ offering, so your claim of it being "better than any quad core Intel" is absolutely ludicrous.

Yeah but no but yeah but no coz the 8350 has 8 real cores none of these fake ones that Intel say they use. Your just an Intel fanboy!

Really, does it have "8 real cores"? That's weird then, since a dual core i3 out-performs it, regardless of it's core count. Oh, and you can't compare two completely different architectures based on core count alone, that's simply moronic. There's no such thing as an Intel fanboy, it's being realistic since AMD have literally no logical CPUs on the market at this point. If you're a butthurt AMD fanboy, then wait for Zen, whatever, I don't care, but AM3+ sucks ass, and it absolutely would not be an "upgrade" from a Skylake i5, don't be stupid.

As for performance, go ahead and look at any reviews or benchmarks with the FX-8350 and an i5. Even an i3 will out-perform the FX-8350 in the vast majority of games, unless the game really favours more cores/threads, in which case, the 8350 may come out slightly ahead, but it's more expensive than an i3. Oh, and an i3-6100 will stomp all over an FX-8350 in the likes of GTA V.

It's so ironic when some kid calls someone a "fanboy" while trying to defend a 5 year old architecture with a 32nm manufacturing process lol. Let it die in peace, k.

Brah, why you have to be so hardcore.

1: calling me a kid was rude

2: your an Intel fanboy

3: those graphs don't validate anything

4: got a tl;dr ?

It's clear that you run a Intel chip because of your harsh attitude to amd users. It's people like you that are killing amd!

Does Intel pay you for spreading biased opinions on the internet?

Your getting more fiery than the 4790k puts out.

Sure you want to get into benchmarks. They put out graphs which we have already established don't validate anything.

But sure, please. Link me some benchmarks. Clearly, Intel have paid you well. UNLESS YOU WORK FOR THEM?!?!?!?!?!?

Calls me a kid and stupid. Can you chill out please?

In sure if I send this convo to Intel, they will drag you in for flaming...

Meanwhile, a 8350 has many places in today's market. Cheap gaming rig, vr rig, downstairs platform gaming rig. Anything.even the 6300 Will do for any if that. Better than any Intel counterpart for the same price.

Where's your proof? I've already proven you wrong. Stop complaining about being called out when you're spreading misinformation, telling people their hardware sucks and outright being a total dick to users.

Oh, here you go btw;

i3 stomping all over an FX-6300 in pretty much everything, including CPU heavy tasks that focus on more cores/threads. I've already shown you that AM3+ aren't true hexa core or octa core, or whatever. i3-6100. i3 vs FX-6300 is same price, so no, AMD are not a cheaper alternative, they're not a better alternative, AM3+ is simply dead. You want to argue your point? Then **** prove it, or gtfo.

Sanctorum wrote Upgrade that monitor and add an SSD. 1080p is ridiculous with a 980Ti. Top kek at 'upgrade' to a 5 year old socket that's been dead for years, GG.

I think I'm just gonna go with a CPU upgrade. This got kinda out of hand with name calling and other things lol. I definitely am going to stick with 1080p now though. I love higher resolution but I like to play on maxed out settings on new games. Even with a 980 ti, I get like 65 fps on games like Witcher 3 and The Division. Some games like assassins creed don't even hit 60. I'm kind of a 60 fps snob. Anything worse bothers me. People say thats bull and you can't tell the difference but I see what I see.
