So I got my braces off 2 weeks ago and I just lost my bottom retainer only, I still have the top one though. Will my bottom teeth move drastically? Do I need a new one?

Your teeth will/could dislocate and it would have been a waste of time for you having braces, Some people don't wear it when they are supposed to and their teeth stay straight and will remain straight, but some people are just lucky.

Me personally i wouldn't take that chance, Just wear it no matter how annoying or hurtful it is because in the long run you will be happy that you kept wearing it.

You should get a new one.

Call your dentist and ask him/her. Something as important as your teeth, (even if it isn't anything serious) is not worth the risk.

The amount of damage done would probably depend on how your teeth are positioned. We have no idea how to tell and most of us aren't qualified to give an opinion, so I would recommend asking your dentist.

what do you think ? you didn't get a retainer for nothing.

Friend of mine didn't wear a retainer and she ended up having to pay for braces (the first time was free) and braces aren't cheap. I have retainer that is in constantly so I don't have to worry about losing it.

all you have to do is go back to your orthodontics (not sure of spelling) and ask them to replace it.
Whether or not free or charge I do not know

Depends on how bad your teeth were to begin with. After braces, teeth will naturally want to move back into their old comfy spot. The retainer prevents it and if you don't put it in 22 hours a day for at least 3-6 months after braces, you're going to notice them moving back.

Get a new retainer. I lost my retainer and stopped wearing them.

I now have to get braces again. At 21 and where my job is to talk to people i'm not happy about it. But it's for the best.

I found it and it was in the parking lot of the tattoo shop I was in, it looked like it had been run over but it didn't break and is still wearable so I got lucky
