I think its retarded. People saying "oh your friends can be distracting" well for the first 6 months you can drive your siblings... what if they're being crazy in the back and hitting each other and shit or screaming or w.e that's more distracting. Me and my friends are rarely distracted while driving when we're all in a car.. I think its pointless.

I agree, the rule is somewhat justified but 6 months is way too long. The decision should be made by the driver's parents.

002 wrote That 6 month thing is there for a reason. You are a new driver, you don't know if you are good (and probably are not like all new drivers). Passengers are a distraction, keeping passengers out of the vehicle for those 6 months while you learn to drive is very important. I understand you may not see it that way because you are just an ignorant kid (not to be meant in a bad way) who thinks they can drive just fine with passenger, and albeit you probably can, however that 6 month rule is there to limit distractions.

I understand the purpose of this rule, Im just saying it seems a bit over extended and I personally annoyed because I am able to handle passengers fine.

Some people think that they can handle drinking and driving too lol. When it comes to laws, you need to understand they're not tailored to any one person. It has to go across a broad spectrum.

Yeah, I think it should be up to the parents as well. And 002, idk man, that's a VERY far reach comparing friends in the car and people thinking its alright to drinking a driving lol

I'm not comparing the two by any means, what I'm saying is people think they can do things, yet they have no experience or it generally never ends well. People think they can drive while drunk and a lot end up dead. Same thing with friends in the car, you think you can do it, yet when you have people spilling drinks in the back or what ever, less attention is on the road.

I understand where you're coming from now. Drink spilling can occur after driving for 20 years and you could possibly crash..
