ive been getting pretty sick of my computer and only getting 120-150 frames on ALL LOW settings on csgo. Im thinking about upgrading to a GTX 980 and a Core 17 5820k Cpu. Does anyone know what kind of frames ill get on Csgo and Overwatch with those 2 parts? Thanks.

Your upset with 120+FPS? I sure hope you have a 120Hz monitor if you;re running at low settings to hit 120FPS lmao.

Upgrading to a GTX 980 would be stupid. A 5820k is also very likely totally unnecessary, but you haven't told us your current specs.

What are your current specs, including case and PSU(make and model of both). What is your budget, and currency for an upgrade?

You don't need either of those things. I have a GTX 970 and 4970K and I'm able to hit almost 400FPS on low settings.

As Sanctorum said, you wont notice a visual difference. However it will definitely feel smoother in game. A shit player will always be a shit player though, if you're playing bad on 120 FPS, you will still be bad at 300 FPS.

You'd be better off investing in a 120hz monitor than a new CPU/GPU.

Its not only that, the whole system is having issues. I cant even watch videos online without it lagging a lot. i overshot the fps thing, i only get 40-70 now. I noticed it this morning. I tried EVERYTHING online to make it faster also.

It's not that you don't need an upgrade, it's that a GTX 980 and 5820k would be a bad choice.

I'll re-iterate;
"What are your current specs, including case and PSU(make and model of both). What is your budget, and currency for an upgrade?"

We need that info to be able to help you with an upgrade.
