So all in all I want a PC that can game and stream seamlessly. Right now whenever I use OBS and stream CS GO (for example) to twitch, I get massive frame drops and my computer turns into a potato. I am not familiar with building PC's, but some of my friends suggested that I get a solid state drive, and at least a 4g gpu. I also am unfamiliar with the difference between i5 and i7 intel core processors, I mean I am going to want to edit and render stuff fairly quickly but my buddy said overclocking an i5 might even be better than i7. Not sure what I'm talking about but, yeh.

Budget & Currency: $1,000 (I would be able to spend more but I still have yet to buy keyboard/monitor(s))

Peripherals & Monitor: I want at least 2 monitors but if I can get 3 monitors at a good price, I would definitely choose 3. I think 23 inches is the perfect size for me because I looked at some monitors today and 21 was kinda small, 23 was perfect.

- I also need a keyboard

Games: -Bordlerlands & CS GO so far, but I want to be able to play any game at great settings. I also play a little minecraft lol

Software: The basics, sony vegas, photoshop, after effects

Aesthetics: Only thing I want is to be able to see the inside, and maybe if possible a cool light

Rebates/Promos:

Details: I just want to be able to stream and game, & record and game seamlessly with no lag or anything.

When: I have the money ready and am ready to build

P.S. Also, I want Windows 7

"some of my friends suggested that I get a solid state drive, and at least a 4g gpu"
Don't pay attention to the amount of VRAM a card has, you just buy the best GPU you can for your money, regardless of the amount of VRAM. A 2GB R9 380 is still going to beat a 4GB GTX 960, because the 380 is simply a better GPU. SSD is pretty much a must in every new rig these days.

"I also am unfamiliar with the difference between i5 and i7 intel core processors"

They're the exact same. i5's and i7's all come from the same silicon, i5's are just i7's that don't work as well, so they have reduced clock speeds and hyperthreading disabled. Whereas, the i7 has hyperthreading enabled and typically, a higher clock speed out of the box. i7's will always be better than i5's. The only time an i5 would beat an i7 is if the i5 had a higher clock speed, and the application/game you were running, didn't utilise the i7's hyperthreading at all. It's unlikely an i5 would be clocked higher than an i7 though because if you're going to overclock an i5, you'd be overclocking an i7 if you had one, and an i7 will typically OC better. However, that doesn't mean you need an i7, i5's are perfectly fine in the majority of cases, and an i7 is only beneficial over an i5 if you're going to make use of the hyperthreading a lot.

"Budget & Currency: $1,000 (I would be able to spend more but I still have yet to buy keyboard/monitor(s)) "

Okay, so what's the budget including peripherals?

"Peripherals & Monitor: I want at least 2 monitors but if I can get 3 monitors at a good price, I would definitely choose 3. I think 23 inches is the perfect size for me because I looked at some monitors today and 21 was kinda small, 23 was perfect. "
With your budget, you're better off looking at a nice 1440p panel and then you can add more monitors later if needed/wanted.

"When: I have the money ready and am ready to build "

and when is that? because if it's more than 1-2 weeks away, helping you now would be pointless as prices will change and new components will have released.

"P.S. Also, I want Windows 7"
Get it for free. Or buy your OS from G2A, Kinguin, or reddit.com/r/microsoftsoftwareswap for $20-$30. Though, I'd definitely advise getting Win10, Windows 7 makes absolutely no sense anymore, and isn't even supported. DX12 support alone is reason enough to upgrade to W10.

Also, if we're going to help you, we need a little more information.

Preferred colour scheme?
Will you overclock?

Total Budget including peripherals - $1300

When - I have the money now, so less than 1-2 weeks away, like I could spend the $1300 right now no problem.

Preferred color scheme - Red and black
Will I overclock - considering I am not really sure what overclocking is, probably not. I just want to be able to stream and game, but if that requires overclocking then yes.

edit: also, here are 2 builds that 2 different friends recommended to me. I think I'm going to go with the i5, I'm not sure I need the i7. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] & [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Those builds are both pretty terrible. Haswell makes no sense. Unlocked CPU is a waste if you're not overclocking. 212 EVO is not a good choice of cooler. GTX 970 makes absolutely zero sense, since the RX 480 releases on June 29th for $199 and should beat the 970. No SSD in the i5 rig is pathetic, every rig deserves an SSD, especially with a $1k+ budget. The V300 SSD in the i7 rig is a bad SSD, don't get that.

A little over your budget, but includes a 1440p monitor and a nice mechanical keyboard. GTX 1070, wait for the aftermarket 1070s to come back in stock, don;t buy a reference card(Founder's Edition).

Or, RX480 instead of a GTX 1070;

That allows you to get an i7, and a larger SSD within budget. This also has XFire support, so you;d be able to add a 2nd 480 at any point, if wanted/needed.

I really like the second build, especially considering I can add a 2nd 480 if needed. Do I need a cpu cooler though?

Stock cooler will be fine, especially considering you're not overclocking. The stock cooler can be pretty loud and is ugly at IMO so you should add a nice aftermarket cooled at some point, when you have some more money. Cryorig M9i, Cryorig H7, Raijintek Aidos, or Be Quiet Pure Rock would all be good choices.

No chance. The NH-D15 isn't exactly a very nice cooler. It's good, but it's totally unnecessary for a locked CPU. The H100i is also a bad choice, it's well over-priced and isn't a good choice for the price.

Hey man, I recently just found some more extra money. My budget is about $1600, figured you were the guy to go to to ask what I could use the extra ~$300 for. I do want my PC to be quiet so maybe a cooler? The part list you linked me is here: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

GTX 1070 and i7. Nice 1440p monitor and next keyboard. SLI support so you can add a 2nd GTX 1070 at any point if you want/need. Get the Cryorig M9i from Newegg for $20. You can OC the i7 a little with the M9i but you'll want a higher end cooler if you want to do more than a little overclocking.
