Below I have outlined all information released regarding the Modern Warfare Remaster. I will continue to update this with information, pictures and videos as and when they are released. The information has been gathered from numerous legitimate sources such as official Activision website and various reputable news sites. More news is expected at this years E3 event. I couldn't see a post like this already therefore I thought I might as well create a thread to keep everybody in the loop of any new information. Feel free to post any suggestions/additions below on what should be included and you will be credited.




What will be included in the Modern Warfare Remaster?
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will include the full campaign and 10 multiplayer maps from the original Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare game remastered in stunning high-definition, featuring next generation textures, physically based rendering, high-dynamic range lighting and much more to bring a new generation experience to fans.


When is the Modern Warfare Remaster released?
It is released with Infinite Warfare on the same day, November 4th 2016.


How do I purchase the Modern Warfare Remaster?
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is only available through the Legacy, Legacy Pro, and Digital Deluxe editions of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. You will then be given a digital download code to be redeemed on the Xbox/PlayStation store.


How can I play Modern Warfare remastered before the release date of November 4th 2016?
During the E3 conference, PlayStatin has announced that PlayStation 4 players who pre-purchase Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will get to start playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastereds campaign 30 days early on October 5. The offer is valid at select participating retailers, and only with the pre-purchase of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfares Digital Legacy, Digital Deluxe, Legacy, and Legacy Pro Edition. We are awaiting more details on how this will work from Activision, so stay tuned. PlayStation has confirmed that this is a PS4 exclusive offer.

Will Modern Warfare Remastered be sold as a separate disk?
Unfortunately not, you must purchase one of the above editions of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.


What different editions are available to pre-order and what do they contain?

Legacy Edition and Digital Legacy Edition Include both Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered.

Digital Deluxe Edition Includes Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered and Season Pass.

Legacy Pro Edition Includes Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, Season Pass, collectible Steelbook, official game soundtrack and additional digital items.


Will the Modern Warfare Remaster have prestige levels like it originally did?
Yes, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will have a full, standalone multiplayer progression system, with the ability to unlock weapons, perks, weapon attachments, and reach Master Prestige.


What maps will be included in multiplayer on the Modern Warfare Remaster?
10 fan favourite maps will be released. Crash, Overgrown, Crossfire, Backlot and Bog are 5 of the maps currently announced with five more set to be announced at a later date.


Is the Modern Warfare Remaster available on old-gen consoles?
Unfortunately not, it is only available on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.


Will my stats carry over from the original Modern Warfare?
Your stats from the original Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare will not carry over to the remastered version. Where would the fun be in that!?


How much will the Modern Warfare Remaster cost?
Amazon has listed the Legacy Edition on PS4 and Xbox One at £69 in the UK and $80 in the US. These prices are subject to change.


Who is developing the Modern Warfare Remaster?
Raven Software are developing it and executive produced by Infinity Ward. Raven have been working with Activision since 2010 and have worked on every Call Of Duty since Black Ops 1.

This is a very useful and informative thread. I actually didn't know that Raven Software helped make the past couple CoD games. Very interesting.
