I literally just finished school a couple of weeks ago and I'm looking to start working out. I'm 19 and I haven't really lifted weights or done much exercise before. Anyone got any tips for what I should do? I was going to do some running each day and lift some weights. Anybody know how many reps I should do? Loads of people say different amounts. Should I use steroids too?

Don't use steroids I've had friends who have and it ruined them. Stay natural and make sure to just eat a lot of food that is good for you not junk.

Physique's thread will address all of your questions except the last one about steroids.

Don't consider touching them until you're at least early twenties to minimise the chances of permantly messing up your hormones. Nineteen is too risky, of course some people use them and they're fine at that age but the chances of permantly stopping testosterone production is pretty high. Nobody wants to be on TRT for the rest of their life.

Simply work your ass off and build a good base and if you want to go down that path when you're older, that's your choice. May the gains be with you.

I agree not to use steroids this early on, but to say steroids ruined them is false. You're friends more than likely decided to take them to buff up fast not considering the life changing factors of taking them, and without doing proper research on them how to safely cycle, pct, blood work.

Don't take steroids until you build a good solid natural foundation after few years of good dieting and training.
