My GF's birthday is coming up soon! We have been together for just over a month and we both love each other alot and are very happy with each other. She goes to the gym and trains and I wanted to get her some new Nike Tights, Nike short sleeve gym shirt and a new Nike Sports Bra. It comes to $225. I really like the outfit and everything and I know she would like it too. But I don't know if that is too much money to spend on her, this is my first GF so I don't really know, I need you guys to help me out here!

Well, if it were me i wouldnt spend that much on someone that quickly. A month is very fast to know you love someone, and being your first girlfriend i can see how you'd jump right to thinking that. I have trouble spending even 100 dollars on a girlfriend for a present after a month. That's only 4 weeks of dating. Unless ive known the girl longer and we talked to each other before we dated, then i wouldnt have an issue with it.

I wouldn't say it's too much as a treat if you know what I mean, I mean I spend a lot but if she really loves you she won't care about the price tag she'll care about the thought.

I think thats a good amount. BUT if you are on a tight budget at the moment then maybe remove one of the more expensive items.

Possibly look at getting her some new sports headphones, new shaker (protein shaker), running shoes, Pay for 1 year GYM membership, Spa day.

If you think she deserves it then go for it man, science shows that buying presents for your loved ones increases happiness (just look at Christmas or your birthday) I would say go for it if you love her.

Don't over spend trying to impress a female.

Stay in your budget, and just remember, if she's the girl for you, she would enjoy anything that you'd purchase for her, doesn't matter the monetary value...

I recently bought my girlfriend of a year and a half (still going strong) a $100 Pandora ring that she tweeted about how amazing it looked, she probably would just enjoy the thought of me purchasing it for her.

I dont think we need scientific studies to prove that if you get something for free you will increase their happiness.

If someone cooks a meal for me for free without me asking I will be happy let alone a gift such as Christmas/ Bday

I'm no expert but I know that women enjoy recieving gifts on any occasion never mind the price range.
