I need assistance with building a PC I will be buying at the end of June. I have made multiple builds but I am confused on whether I am buying the best parts for my budget.

Do you need a monitor? Yes
Do you need a keyboard? Yes (Mechanical & maybe chroma)
Do you need a mouse? No
Do you need an operating system? No
What will you use the PC for? 70% gaming, %30 editing & streaming

Here are the builds I have made so far, they are all over the budget because I will be buying the SSD two weeks after I buy the PC.

CHOICE 1: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (If I wanted to OC)
CHOICE 2: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
CHOICE 3: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Note: VERY HIGHLY PREFER DUAL HDMI for console gaming & IPS on the monitor

First choice;
If you wanted to OC, this would be a terrible choice since you wouldn't be able to. You need an unlocked CPU(6600k) and a Z170 chipset motherboard to overclock. The SSD has no price in this one, but does in the other two for some reason? PSU is terrible quality, don't buy. EVGA's G2 units are amazing, GS units are very good, GQ units are pretty good, but those G1 units were horrific. That monitor is over-priced. Razer keyboard is 10/10 bad. Doesn't even have Cherry MX switches, get a nice Corsair or Cooler Master keyboard with MX Blues or Browns.

Second choice;
SSD isn't very good. Actual benchmarks of the drive show that similarly priced SSD's, like the Trion 100, Trion 150, ADAT SP550, SP600 etc, are all better than the BX200. Again, PSU is terrible, keyboard isn;t good, and is over-priced, and the monitor is over-priced.

Third choice;
Worse motherboard, you'd be better off spending the extra $2 for the H170 motherboard from the 2nd choice. Again, same applies for the PSU, keyboard and monitor again.

Now, I'm going to give you a few options, so this might get a little confusing. Regardless of which rig you end up choosing, do not buy the SSD after. Buy the SSD with the rig, install your OS on the SSD and a few games, then buy the HDD after. It's much easier to buy the SSD first because you'll want the OS on it. I'm suggesting the AMD R3 SSD because I've heard good things about it, but it's the same price as the SP550 which is a good SSD anyway, so you can get the SP550 instead of the AMD SSD if you wish.

Overclocking

2nd OC option;
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Tried to make it cheaper, you could get a decent(ish) case for like $40 to save a little more if you wanted, this way you can wait for Polaris or Pascal and get a $300 newer generation GPU which should be a nice improvement over $300 cards right now. GTX 1070 will maybe be closer to $400, but you might be able to get a GTX 1070 for close to $300, so that may be a decent option, or maybe a 480/490 when they release. BX100 SSD in this is good, the BX200's are not good.

Not overclocking

Pretty much the same as the 2nd OC option, except instead of overclock potential, you get a 1440p monitor instead of 1080p.

Second option;
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Back to 1080p, but nicer components all round, more RAM and larger SSD, nicer case etc. Plus, this gives you a little over $300(a little more than the cheap OC option) to buy a nice $300 odd next gen GPU(Pascal or Polaris).

I left the Z170 motherboard in the non-OC rigs because it's not that expensive, so no reason not to get it IMO.

Thank you for your insight. I will definitely consider the 2nd options for both OC and non-OC because I would like to wait for the new GPU releases & their benchmarks. I do have a couple questions however.

When considering the PSU should I be worried about modularity? I've read many places that it very helpful for cable management.

When installing OS & games onto the SSD, is it the same process as installing them onto a USB? I don't want to be confused during this process.

Thank you again, I always enjoy your suggestions on these forums so I glad you replied.

Cable management is going to be a breeze with the Enthoo Pro M or S340 anyways, those PSU shrouds work wonders. Semi/fully modular is definitely nice to have, but it's about $75 or so for a decent semi-modular PSU. GTX 1070 releases on the 10th of June, supposed to be priced around $389 I think, but we really won't know until AIB partners get their aftermarket coolers out. Polaris 10 is meant to be announced on June 1st officially, so we should maybe have release dates by then, and maybe benchmarks soon after, but we won't really know until the 1st.

Installing your OS on to the SSD is the exact same as installing your OS normally, you just install it on the SSD instead. Same with games, just choose the SSD as your install path.
