Fan favourite Call of Duty: Black Ops will be playable on Xbox One today, via the console's backwards compatibility service.
At least, that's what it looks like - the title is advertised as "playable on Xbox One" right now via the Xbox 360 dashboard.

Black Ops has been tipped for backwards compatibility since the tail end of last year - so it has just been a matter of when, rather than if.
Maybe Activision hopes this will please enough Call of Duty fans that they stop downvoting that Infinite Warfare reveal trailer.

I'd be extremely surprised if this was true and wasn't just a mistake on Xbox's behalf.
It makes no sense from a business point of view to release a free game that people can play. Therefore, less people will play BlackOps 3 which means less supply drops will be bought and not to mention, the new map packs aren't even out yet.
Maybe you're right but Activision are an extremely greedy company and I doubt they would release this for free.
They're selling a COD trilogy for $30 on Xbox 360 when everyone already owns the games anyway.
Not to mention, all the God mode classes and invisible shit?
