I wish I could speak a second language. I could blame that I am from the UK, as you find the majoirty of the UK only speak one language, whereas other places in europe have a better education system when it comes to foreign languages. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but I'm sure that's true. I play with a lot of Swedish, Dutch, Danish and Finnish people online and they all speak great English, most of it coming from school and the rest from gaming. It's very hard to learn a new language when your not in a position to actively make use of it. I would like to take up German one day.

German, somewhat.

I'm by no means fluent, I could keep a basic conversation going in the language if I absolutely needed.

I'd love to become completely fluent in German.

No idea why people are disliking your post so much. Very few people speak more than one language in the UK because there's no reason to if you since we aren't right beside other countries. I live in Ireland and I can speak some Irish but there's really no need, anyone that speaks Irish can also speak English.

There's literally no country that has a better education system than the UK, including languages IMO.
