What languages does everyone speak and where are you from ?

I am from the UK but have lived in a few different countries.

I can speak English, Spanish and German.

English is my native language.

Spanish I learnt in school

German I am currently learning and hoping to speak it fully fluently by the end of the year.

1, and that's all I need.

Why do I need to know French (or something) if I'm most likely going to be in England all my life?

To quote my Spanish teacher:

People who know two or more languages generally earn more and Is one the best things to put on a CV.

Multiple languages on a CV shows a lot of personal qualities especially if you have learnt it your self and not in school. Self taught things show great determination, dedication and self development.

I am currently learning to code and finish speaking German and that on CV shows a lot more than a GCSE lets be honest.

A lot of Spanish is cognates or semi-cognates (words that look like the same word in your language as they do in the one you are reading/ listening to).

Spanish is quite easy to pick up if you remember the basics such as how to use verbs and tense's.

Its just the way my school teaches it, doesn't work for me.

I don't remember past and futures tenses, and since i haven't used it in two years I forgot a lot of the vocabulary.

we also barely practiced speaking and listening, so when testing in that part I always did shit.
