Hello TTGers,
I have recently allowed my 7 Year old laptop, to die.
It served me well, but towards the end, the fans had failed, the insides were starting to just melt and it was simply too old for modern life.
Now, Im trying to move on, to better things. I need a laptop im going to use for your standard browsing of the internet, watching movies and listening to music etc.
Other then that, I would like to get back into using Photoshop and maybe some video editing, but nothing major, I dont really use laptops to game, only football manager and things like that so... As I say, it doesnt have to be some huge machine!
Im wondering what you guys have recently purchased and if you are enjoying it or not? I am trying not to spend more then £500, which is low, I know! but with the way things are I need to update quite allot at the moment. I need a new TV, a new bed and loads of little things around the house, aswell as buying a new car and stuff, im going to struggle for money the next few months!
If you have any good ideas for what I should get, or a good/bad experience with a new laptop, please let me know!

I was also looking at macbooks, they are just so expensive! Although I hear they last forever! Did you get yours directly from apple and which package did you go for?

I have a Dell Inspiron 5000 15.6" Laptop, it works great. Its was $750 Canadian but I got it on sale for 620 about. For that deal it would beat a MacBook any day. I did lots of research before I had bought this laptop.

I have a HP laptop got it for christmas, Its quite good if im being honest.
I really want a MacBook though.

I have a Macbook Pro and an Alienware. I recommend buying an older Macbook. I got mine for a really good price on eBay. I wouldn't recommend getting anything under 2012. Just try to get the latest one you can if you're going with a Macbook Pro.
