At my college, part of tuition gets me an HP ZBook 17 G2 workstation and it works fine, although compared to everyone else in my class, my fans are noticeably loud. The computer isn't too warm but I think it may have something to do with that one time after class it was in my backpack while I was on my pc and I heard it on for some reason and the fans were at max power and touching the pc almost burns your hand. I think it randomly turned on because it connected to the wifi at my house. So now I think that the fans are always trying to be overprotective or maybe something was damaged when it was that hot. I know some things like this have happened to a few others in my school. I am pretty sure it is still under warranty but is there anything I can do?

In your bag, was the laptop positioned in a vertical position (If you could open it would it have been sat on its side)?

There is a chance your thermal compound may have shifted if the laptop was on its side at a very high temperature but normally the laptop would shut down if it got too hot to prevent this.
It may be possible that your laptops thermometer for the CPU or GPU stack has got damaged due to the excessive heat. If this is the case and it was giving an unusual reading (for example 0 or null) you may end up with the fans sticking on full power as a safety measure.
When you are doing tasks on it does the air coming out of the system feel hotter then it used to?

The air is warm but not anything unusual and for some reason now usually it isnt going to loud anymore. But like when I go and play slither.io it acts as if it is playing an fps

I don't play them on the laptop. I play them on my pc at home so I wouldn't know

okay, well the temperatures you have posted above would seem fair for a laptop, as its not pumping out hot air and not shutting itself down after being used for a short while of load, I would say you should be fine
