This is gone sound stupid but how do I get dark matter and also what it the final product of getting all the specialists to their max

You get dark matter from obtaining every camo for every weapon.

I believe you get gold for all of you're guns then you get dark matter. Not really sure though.

To get dark matter, you must get every weapon in the game (excluding dlc's and black market weapons) gold. (Get diamond camo for all class sets)
For the hero camo, you must complete the 800 kills for every specialist, plus the 3 challenges after it.
20 kills using support specialist, and 40 kills using assault specialist.
After you complete all 9 challenges for all 9 specialists, a 10th challenge will become unlocked. You must complete that challenge to get hero camo for them.

The guy above is right on everything except dark matter you dont need dlc/suply drop weapons to get dark matter

i have dark matter without any dlc weapons i have now got one but i got dark matter before i had any dlc weapons

Get all your weapons gold, primary and secondary weapons, for the combat knife, I suggest Core Groundwar Safeguard, that's where you find enemies that are always close to each other. For the rockets, Hardcore Domination, it where you find a lot of people calling in scorestreaks that you can shoot down. This is how I got mine.
