1) Install and run blackb0xs PS3 FTP Server
2) Find a small image (about 10KB) and name it me.png
3) Connect to your PS3 with any FTP client. The host is your IP Address that your ps3 is on, should be shown on your PS3 FTP Server. Leave the Username & Password blank
4) Find your accounts avatar file. It is stored here dev_hdd0/home/000000oo/friendim/avatar/me.png (the "oo" will be your user number)
5) Overwrite that picture with the one you saved earlier.
6) Exit and now you have a custom avatar!
