I got a new laptop at the Microsoft Store yesterday, I'm really liking it so far and was wondering everyone's thoughts on its specs and appearance.

I got the 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD model.

Any opinions on the laptop?
Currently, I've only installed Microsoft Office onto it, but I'm looking into installing Sony Vegas Pro 11 (I assume that it can run it fairly well)

Best,

I'd personally never spend this much on a laptop and not get a Mac of some sorts. But it's far from a bad buy.

If you like it, then that's all that matters.

Not bad and a pretty nice looking laptop. The display is also nice with that resolution but 15" or above would have been preferred for WQHD. Only noticed it has a i7 so it should do well for Sony Vegas but more than likely it will thermal throttle under full load when rendering a video. Shame it didn't have a HDD also as 512GB could be limiting storage.

I previously had a macbook pro, I had a lot of issues with running programs for school (having to use a third party program to run windows on it), as well as with running programs to record my HDPVR2.

It does have a sixth generation i7 Processor, that was one of my main concerns when purchasing a new laptop.
I keep most of my larger files (like movies, music, etc.) on a USB 3.0 external hard drive so that I can watch them on various devices.

Thank you for the compliment on it's look though! (Kinda resembles a macbook)

Not a bad laptop man. Not exactly my forte as I'd rather have a cheapo laptop and a beefier desktop but I'm sure that thing runs hard.
