Hey guys,

Just wanted to see your opinions on College tests. I have found that the way I think about College tests vs. HS tests is very different (mostly because I am paying for college". I just feel maybe if I had the same pressure in High School as in college, I would've done way better in HS. What do you guys think?

Big difference between the two. College you have to work for your grade. High school the teachers give you a study guide with every single answer on it that all you have to do is memorize.

This post isn't about how easy your finals are. It's a comparison of College and HS test ,and if you would've taken HS test more seriously. I assume you aren't in college; therefore, I doubt you can answer this question.......

I mean i pretty much never went to class in high school i was always uhhh how to i put this "behind the school with a group of friends" and i still ended up getting 80% on most of my finals then 96 on my computer science final

I also feel like high school you are taught how to take a test rather than thought the work and i also think that since you pay for college you will take it more serious

I personally never really studied for high school tests or exams... But now as a sophomore in college, i study roughly 3-4 hours a day the week of the exam just to be sure I know how to do everything we learned.

But yes i do agree with the more pressure on you in college since its A LOT of money you're spending.

You are definitely correct, but what if the same principle was enforced in High School?

I just feel that if HS in some ways copied college principles of test, maybe the transition(pressure) wouldn't be so bad. I hate that some of my HS teachers would "guide" us to an A on these tests.

College level tests are way harder. All study and prepare is on you unlike in high school where the teachers laid out easy study guides for you to following along with. Basically, if you memorized the study guide in high school you would end up passing the test.
