I'm trying to buy an account, used to play runescape years ago but it's all changed? And sorta in a nutshell ways of working out what to buy?

It's a shame you haven't received a reply yet, so let me help you out.

To start it off there is four bases of the game, being Darkscape, Deadman, Oldschool, Runescape 3. They are all different servers that make you start from new at least once every time.

So if you have a maxed out RS3 account you will be level 1 on all 3 of those other servers, but you can use one account and access them all. The main difference is just the community and who plays each one, RS3 is more modern while OSRS is the 2007 version with respectable new updates so it's up to you what to play.
