How can I move the object in even increments? Like moving it over by 0.250 inches or 0.500 inches etc. When you put guidelines out, it will snap in those increments using shift but it doesn't do it for moving layers. Help me out please, thanks!

If you have the Move Tool selected you and the correct layer(s) you can use the arrow keys or there is a way in Free Transform to edit the movement lengths.

I have the layer and move tool selected, but I need to move it over exactly 0.250 inches from the letter before it. Know what I mean? The arrows don't seem to move them in even increments. Where is free transform? Thanks

I figured it out, double clicked the transform controls and found the coordinates. Thanks
