8/10 of us should or do know Keemstar, the host of DramaAlert, a popular YouTube channel which reports on community drama in and around YouTube.
Recently he got into a bit of a pickle by reporting on a Runescape report about an old paedophile who lured victims off the online game and had sexual experiences with them, while being in his 50's.
He showed in his video that the RS player recently started to stream again and showed an image off the stream, including the streamers Twitch name (rsgloryandgold), but little did he know that the streamer was infact not the paedophile in the news story, and just a normal guy called Tony, who had played the game most of his life.
He has recently deleted the video and has posted this on his channel
Not sure if this should be in the World News section of the site, so please just move or delete if this is the case

dude just made a mistake. Some people acting like they doont make mistakes. Steve Harvey made a mistake..lots more made mistakes before. He owned up to it and is willing to help the poor guy out. Just like any other "news" channels, He got the info from his guys who work for him and Fired them later on after finding out. plus the poor guy got lots of views on his Twitch. We all make mistakes and learn from them

I think giving the Miss World title to the wrong woman, to branding someone a paedophile and getting X amount of people going to this guys stream and abusing him calling him all sorts is two COMPLETELY different things.

This is more than a spelling error. A mistake like this could easily ruin someone's life.
If a mistake like this was made by a major news team, he would have been fired and his editor would have been fired.
He is lucky that a defamation lawsuit hasn't been filed against him and that his account hasn't been terminated.

It was a mistake, people mess up. He messed up really bad though. He will get loads of hate which is pretty stupid.

Anyway still he has owed up to it and is willing to pay for damages so its all ok

I've moved this topic to the Youtube section since Youtube/Twitch drama isn't world news. Also keep the threats/violence off this thread guys. Keemstar pisses me off too but in no way should you be responding by posting Violent/Hateful messages.
Keemstar is a pretty big shithead. Guy makes false accusations to get views and shock value, and along the way Doxxes people and harasses them.
