bern wrote The Oculus, to me, isn't worth the $599. There is no way a VR machine should be more than a standard console. If anything, they should be $50 more than a PS4/XBone, or $50 less.

I love VR. I want to get one if I can.

It's not just for console though, it's also an extension of PC, the problem is they can't make it as cheap because it's a big step in technology and the manufacturing costs of these things must be incredibly high in comparison.

After all, the components used in making the Xbox One and PS4 are pretty sub par.

True. How many companies are creating VR at the moment? Oculus is one of the biggest names to my knowledge.

Honestly I have no idea, Oculus has been in development for such a long time and was mostly crowd-funded for development, the technology is a lot more advanced than people realise.

Honestly I think the price is reasonable and I hope to one day try it out, but at the moment I don't think that's something I would sink that kindof money into, maybe once the price has dropped substantially I'll look into it more.

Oh most definitely. VR has been around for quite some time. I believe the first VR accessory entered production in the early 1980s. It has been a concept since the 1950s, I think.

Not something I would spend that much money on.
