I just started playing CS again after almost a year. And even before I didn't play much, I'm not sure whether pins are new or not, but what's so special about them?

You can get them at major events, such as ESL Cologne, ESL Katowice, DH Cluj-Napoca, etc. When you redeem it and when you're in a game, it displays beside your name. They're just relatively rare I guess.

That's all I thought they were, I have two, but they're not uncommon. I'm assuming these are.
