But since it is such a big thing I really would like to start watching some anime and buying anime games.

does anyone have any recommendations?

It is a good anime but many of the people that have been watching anime for a while do not like it overall i have never heard a actual good rant about it but i thought it was decent enjoyed the story overall but i didnt like how the messed up season 2 if you watch it you will find out. I would not recommend it but i wouldn't advise against watching it. The only recomendation i will give you is to watch Jormungand one of my top anime of all time and is well worth the watch.

Start with an anime that has a long as story that is finished. Something like Bleach or Dragon Ball Z. Then afterwards watch Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. It is literally the God of all anime. Dont watch the other Fullmetal Alchemist though, because that one is a waste of time and is pointless. Now you should be in love with anime.

But whatever you do. Do. Not. Watch. Fairy Tail. It is absolute trash.
