Male gamers do not hate female gamers. In fact they love it. They just don't know how to act. The first thing male gamers do (especially younger gamers) is taunt and disrespect female gamers when they've come across one. It's their way of getting back at women for not finding them attractive. However they fail to realize this does nothing to benefit them when it comes to attracting the opposite sex.

Just one of those nerdy things I suppose.

I'm a girl gamer and I actually studied gaming and technology at college. most of the guys were so cool with it however some guys did tend to pick on me as I was one of the only girls in the group, eventually I dropped out cause I was being picked on every day.

however with console gaming, I've never been called names or abused or anything most people are pretty cool with the fact I'm a girl. it's no different. I don't see the issue with it! the only people that do hate girl gamers are immature 13 year olds on cod or something haha! but personally I've never received abuse over Xbox/ps4 really.
