its because they want their post to stay active but on the other hand there is still no proof unless you join the game and you can see a colored gt or a mod menu

You can usually tell when someone is legit or fake just by the words they use. Not to mention their gamertags." XScopinxOnYou" is more than likely going to be fake. "FlyingOrpheus12" Is usually going to be legit. Most of the modders keep the Original name they get on their account when they first make it because they can keep the account longer without it being banned

Even as a new member ive seen this happen quite a bit, Ive even seen the host saying post legit for a invite.

i think it's a way to get more people in the lobby to try and scam people. i know it's frowned upon, but back in my middle school days with no job, my friends and i used to do that kind of stuff. we look back and cringe. nobody got anything. it's just a waste of people's time, really. make people think it's real and (hopefully not) get suckered into a scam.
