Also, the executive order on guns is purposed to be about more extensive background checks, this coming after a mass shooting in CA. where people want to see something done. It was purposed before this the Senate shut it down. You're acting like he's taking away all the guns and running off on a vaction

If I'm not mistaken, isn't California already strict with gun control? Didn't seem to help out much..

Wait why do you care so much gun shooting such a big hobby?

Guns are a huge hobby of mine actually. Just ordered 10 pmag3 30 round mags for my AR. The first step taken before mass genocide is disarming of the people. It's a sack of shit. The people who aren't supposed to have guns will always be able to get them.

Alright obviously we have different views. But if I'm not mistaken Obama was voted in to represent the people of the Untied States of America, and if he feels that it would be better for the american people, to have a stricter background check on guns he has every right to impose the executive order. He's just trying to make solutions while a lot of the American government are doing nothing.

Fair enough then you've got used to a law and made that hobby be a big part of your life but clearly things change so you have to adapt ...

Well, you aren't wrong. It is his ability as our president to do these things. However from my point of view and where I stand, it will accomplish nothing. Personally I feel like the time spent chasing gun laws could be allocated in a much more productive area of effort. Such as making the affordable health care act affordable.

Guns are an essential tool in life. You'll wish you had some one day.

Gun(s) are not essential in life, in-fact the United Kingdom doesn't have them; and it seems there's less violent actions when you don't have access to weapons easily at a local gun store.

I do enjoy shooting guns as a hobby, but they're not essential to life at all.

Maybe you're right. I may have exaggerated that statement. They're certainly good to have around though. Especially for when burglars come knocking.

Sorry to see you're not in the majority. The majority voted him in and in every action that the president preforms he will be doing his best to represent the views and beliefs of the majority of people. Also, about the Affordable care act
The law reduces health care costs by rewarding doctors, hospitals and other providers that deliver high quality care, making investments to fund research into what works, and cracking down on waste, fraud, and abuse.

Mark Twain once said, "If voting made any difference, they wouldn't let us do it".

Presidents spend a ton of money on vacations. It's what they do. The executive order was to be expected at some point. I said some months ago that something will have to give at some point. These shootings can't keep happening like they are. Anyway, I wouldn't really call background checks "gun control." Seems like one of the most reasonable things, right next to people on the terrorist watch list not being able to buy guns.
