So I bought a snake (Im pretty sure its a corn snake) a few days ago (after wanting one for 6 months) I spent about $390 cad on him and everything he needed. anyway here are some pictures (I am still thinking of names)

Edit: I have named him Natsu

Edit: I figured I would do a quick update. so far he is doing great he is going into shed again so i decided to feed him a day early so he didn't have to wait a week. Anyway I love holding him well I chill on the couch and watch Netflix but i think that's all. I'll try to add some more pictures tomorrow but with him going into shed i don't want to bug him to much.

First snakes are always the best. When you get a bigger budget, you should look into red tail boas. Red tails are my favorite snake. So gorgeous and sweet. Most boas are social by nature, which is nice, considering some snakes are assholes *cough**cough* rat snakes *cough**cough. Be sure when you sex him, to visually do so. Don't pop or probe him, as it's very uncomfortable and can be stressful for him. If you cannot visually sex him or just don't know what to look for, just decide on a gender and call it a day. Oh, and be sure not to feed inside of his enclosure. Also be sure to handle him daily to prevent having an anti-social and aggressive corn. Other than that, enjoy the little guy, keep his temps and humidity leveled, and of course, feed him! Glad to hear you did a lot of research before getting him, as a lot of people get animals on the spot and never take care of them. I'm about to rescue an 8 foot red tail boa from being in a 10 gallon.

Thanks for the information i knew most of it but it is very helpful. My first choice was going to be a ball Python but they are sadly illegal in Saskatchewan, Canada same with all boas I think
