Why wouldn't he want to go to the UK?

He owns a lot of land and business's over here, in fact, he was a "Scottish business Ambassador" until the first minister stripped him of the title this morning, his Mother was also a Scottish immigrant.

Honestly, doesn't affect me if he gets banned or not, just wanted to put that point across.

Because he's running for office. If he's elected, that'll take precedent over his business affairs.

What so Obama never leaves the US? that's a ridiculous reason to not visit the UK, if anything, considering the UK is a very close ally of the United states, it would make his job as President a heck of a lot harder, if he wasn't aloud in the country.

I never said that the President doesn't leave the country. I said that the President wouldn't need to visit the UK and even if he did, he could just go to the UN offices in the UK to meet up with any British leaders, as that is considered international soil to begin with.

I personally think that he should not be banned, he should have a right to come to the UK just like everyone else does.

I think it's pathetic !.
We (The UK) allow people like Robert Mugabe (President of Zimbabwe)who is guilty of many crimes against humanity in the UK but want to try and stop Trump from coming here..haha.

This entirely depends on whether or not you consider what he said to be hate speech.

The definition of hate speech which Parliament will be considering is:

In law, hate speech is any speech, gesture or conduct, writing, or display which is forbidden because it may incite violence or prejudicial action against or by a protected individual or group, or because it disparages or intimidates a protected individual or group.

Let's look at what Donald Trump is saying, and whether or not it can be considered hate speech by UK law.
He is saying that all Muslims - a 'group' under this definition - are potential terrorists and should be banned from the United States until things are 'worked out'.

Does this statement incite violence and prejudice against Muslims in the US?

Anti-Muslim attacks are on the rise since last weeks massacre in San Bernardino, Calif., and recent comments by presidential candidate Donald Trump could make the situation worse, Muslim and Arab-American leaders said Tuesday.

We dont literally have time to issue a statement on every incident because theyre coming in so fast and furious, Hooper said. When the leading Republican presidential candidate can say, Bar all Muslims coming to America and know he can get more support for it it is truly frightening.

So has his statement incited violence against innocent Muslims in the US? A clear link seems to be quite easy to make.
The very fact that he is saying the US will be fine without Muslims coming to the country, including the money they would bring in tourism revenue, is disparaging.

By UK law, Donald Trump should be banned, or at least arrested on attempt to enter, because what he said does classify as hate speech.

With that being said, I think the entire concept of hate speech is despicable and an affront to free speech. If what he has said has incited violence then you deal with the violent offenders, not him.
The violent offenders have took his political statements and are using them to commit violence.

This is not the same as him saying, 'Go and attack mosques because they're all terrorists.' That nuance needs to be taken into account. There is free speech, then there is issuing an assassination Fatwa on somebody.
'Hate speech' should not be the bridge which blurs the lines between them.

Why would you ban someone from a country because of their politcal views, and what he claims to do that more than likely wont even happen(talking about banning Muslims from US)?

Because having an opinion that the masses don't agree with is obviously illegal. Duh.

Most people in the UK think he's a ****. It's not personal, and it's not even really about his views, he's just a **** and we don't want him to be part of our **** awesome country.

Keep him, he's yours.

This is very pointless. He will never be banned from there. Just another petition that will go no where.
