So normally I get on my smurf to play with irl's or other much lower ranked friends. I never really try that hard and just try to have fun with them. But in this last game that I played I was solo queing. It was around 10pm at night on a school night, and I was really tired and just wanted to chill and have fun in a comp. By the way on this account I am nova 2 (my main is Global). When I I first got into the game I noticed some very toxic players on my team. They were cursing, and saying mean things right off the start, still in warm up. Then the game started and as we started to win the first couple rounds these two people on my team were getting furious. They claimed that this was their "derank" game and they were close to silver. These guys said that they were smfc, but i didn't believe it, their aim was terrible. When it was around 7-1 or something they started to leave at the beginning of the round . (at the same time so we couldn't kick one). And join back after leaving so it was a 3v5 every round. They were calling out where me and my teammates were to the other team in the (all) chat. Overall being complete dicks. Then the other team started to get rounds on us and were about to come back. The other 2 kids that were not deranking on our team were miserable, they were being harassed for every play that they made or whatever they said. I deiced to go hard asf and attempt to win the game for my poor teammates that had to deal with these shitheads. I ended up carrying us to victory, and winning the game. I ended up going 61-16. Tell me if you think this was a dick move or i should have let the derankers lose and carried on with my day. What would you have done in this scenario.

Honestly, teammates that are that salty and pissed off are annoying. It is also annoying that they were trying to derank. Deranking is something you should only do with a team of 5 so that no one has to lose a rank when they didn't want to if that makes sense.
Smurfing isn't okay at any level though. You being better than everyone else ruins the fun for people that are actually that skill level. Let your friends level up on their own. Play in your own level until then.
Smurfs and derankers are annoying.
In this case though, I applaud you for carrying derankers to victory and probably pissing them off.

Sounds like nobody had fun so it's wrong. novas shouldn't have to play globals. I honestly think you are just trying to show off your score but you are smurfing so it's not impressive. The other two people not derank could easily mute the toxic teammates and continue playing. You carrying them doesn't really help. I don't mind smurfing to play with friends but this is just wrong. It's situations like this that ruin the game for people.

Nah dude I'm LEM and shit like this happens to me all the time playing in nova and mg games.

You did it just right man. Smurfing is fine as long as the smurf isn't cheating. It means that the noobs can watch you play and learn how to become better.

Wrong, smurfing is not allowed, the whole "rank 3 to play Comp" was a system to minimise the number of smurfs.

No smurfing is allowed. So what if a gold nova lose a rank because he played against a smurf? He's only a gold nova, it takes like two games to level up. Try being a supreme, I'm on like a 15 win streak and guess what? Still a supreme. Anyway, that's like saying ScreaM and Olofmesiter shouldn't play against Globals because it's smurfing? I've seen ScreaM hit 50+ kills against globals and his team wins by like two rounds because of it? Is that fair? No. Why isn't he banned then if smurfing isn't allowed? Scream's smurf is banned, Pro players are white listed and can not have their main accounts banned. Pro players aren't a good example to use. smurfing is wrong but who's going to stop it? the game is cheap to buy, the rank 3 is easy to get people want to smurf they will. Playing vs better players wont make you better unless you do it consistently. smurfs arent even a big deal compared to cheats anyway. Global elite it's 70% boosted or cheating kids. You should play for fun and not for rank either way anyway and tbh MM players arent anything special if you want a challenge play CEVO.
