I already bought the CPU, just wondering if the rest of the build is solid or not. My budget is about $1100 since I bought the CPU. No need for a monitor or KBM since I got them as well. No need for an OS...

BTW this is for gaming and workstation for CAD/SolidWorks/etc

For me thats perfect for working and gaming you got that SSD drive and the GTX 970 which is one powerful thing and you've got the ram and cpu for working efficiently and a good cpu cooler

I'd personally get an AIO cooler for an i7 5820k. If you will be overclocking that thing, it can get pretty hot. Even an air cooler like a Dark Rock would be good. I dont feel the cooler you picked would do the job.

I'd get something like this:

Seems like a solid build to me. Good luck!

If you can manage a little over. Nice cooler and SSD. Better GPU, and you still have XFire support, so you can easily add a 2nd in the future, if you want.

What I'd be getting. Bootyful AIO for good overclocking and looks, everything is future-proofed in case you wanted to add another 970, Quad Channel RAM because you may as well take advantage of it.
