I've only dealt with when my tray got stuck.

Try a Dust Cleaner to use into the Xbox.
A lot of bust probably got inside

You can't fix it, the reader is plastic with S, not metal like OG and Elite. Referb it with microsoft.

Did you look up any tutorials on how to do this stuff.
Or try going to your local tech store to see if you could fix it.

Pretty sure you'll be able to order a replacement dvd drive or send it in to Microsoft or someone who does repairs and they'll fix it up. I had an issue with my slim one year after it was released, being the idiot that I am, I took it apart when I had a warranty for a replacement.
