Basically I have never played a PC game before that would need a decent PC to run it smoothly, i really like the DayZ game on PC but I'm aware you need a (gaming PC) do I need thousands of pounds to play it smoothly? Can I by a prebuilt one to play this sort of game any tips on what I should do and where to start?

DayZ is an un-optimized game on the PC, it can be run on a low end PC well or rubbish and a high end PC well or rubbish. It is a weird game.

we can configure a parts list for you, we just need a budget and a currency to work with and what he needs peripheral wise etc.
Here is a list of everything we need to know.
What is your budget and currency? (Pound sign does not work normally, use GBP abbreviation)
Do you need a monitor?
Do you need a keyboard?
Do you need a mouse?
Do you need an operating system?
What will you use the PC for?

I have DayZ and I have entry level parts in my PC. I can squeeze 30fps when my character is in the middle of butt****nowhere but in the towns it does drop quite a bit. It is certainly playable with a bottom end PC. My PC cost around 400 dollars without peripherals, parts are kind of outdated now.

Well I'm not really on a budget as such however as I am starting out I wouldn't want to buy a 1000pound computer, I want to build the PC to play DayZ on a medium quality/high and be able to upgrade the PC for when I want to play more intense games, what sort of price am I looking around (GBP)

This is a cheeky little build that will perform quite well and can be upgraded later if you need to. If you want to spend more money get the 550w version of the power supply for future upgrades and potentially a better GPU now if you wanted to be sure you can play whatever you like.

No point going with Sylake to get DDR3 RAM. 380>960.

Yes you'd have to build it yourself.
