Hey guys! im looking for some good armor that can be achieved early on, ive only recently went to diamond city ive been more focused on helping the Minutemen. therefore im not very far. i was wondering if anyone could help me out and point me in the direction of what is a good armor set? im only Level 15 currently using the minutemen generals uniform which has a 45 armor rating and cannot be modified, thanks!

Thats not bad, Start looking for things that have titles in them so things that are like "padded" "pocketed" etc, these are mods, even if you find then and dont want them you can remove the mods from them and use them later and just sell the base armor.

But some good ones are the Synth armor pieces, you can get them from the Institute / Railroad quest lines. and those are do able early on

Focus on looking for fusion cores so you can use the power armour a lot because its really useful when starting off.

I'd probably look to see if there are any Diamond City guards who are dead and loot the armor off of them. Now I don't mean for you to kill one yourself, but look around the outskirts of Diamond City. The first time I went, there was a battle between DC guards and Super Mutants, one of the guards died and I looted his armor. I used it up until level 28 or so. Only stopped due to doing the cap glitch and getting a piece or two of legendary armor from vendors.

its ugly af but the heavy combat armor with mods is very good
