I bought astro a40s with only the xbox one adapter. Everytime I try and talk in party chat it is hard getting them to work correctly. It makes buzz noises until I finally fix the mic in a certain position for them to work.

What are you positioning the mic piece or the whole headset depending on what it is you may just need to buy a new mic piece.
I say this because i had the same issues but instead of buzzing my mic would cut out and nobody could hear me until i positioned them a certain way after a while i just bought a new mic piece from astro and haven't had the issue since.
