I am thinking about buying Fallout 4, but I complete #3 ages ago and don't really remember the story line, if I get Fallout 4, will it go on from #3 or is it okay?

You can jump into Fallout 4 the story lines aren't tied as far as I know.

Yeah they are not linked at all....the story is way different than 3
