Im trying to join a friend on xbox, but it wont connect. This is for everything, parties, games, private chat, whatever. Nothings working. Can any one help? +Rep for solution.

You sure you've not got a communication ban? It's kind of like bad sports on gta but works for everything. Can you play online but not join people through dashboard ect.

you might not have xbox live gold, you might only have silver, you need gold to play with friends

Maybe one of your guys connection could be bad.
I would try connecting to another friend or having a 3rd friend host a party and invite you guys.
