They usually just put you to sleep and remove it. It's a fast and simple process. It has probably changed a lot, but I got them out when I was young and I didn't get put to sleep. They just gave me laughing gas and I didn't feel a thing.

When your asleep they board you on an unidentified alien space craft and anal probe you. It happens to everyone eventually in their life so there's nothing to worry about, but just a warning its a real pain in the ass ;) see what I did there?

If done right you will only have a gap for a couple months. I got mine taken out in September and I no longer have gaps. It hurts for about a week, but they give you meds for that. Don't be an idiot like me, I thought I was going to be the big tough man using no meds, not the best idea lol. One of my teeth had roots wrapped around it though. Passed that, for the first week try to just eat jello, pudding, yogurt, etc. Make sure after your done eating you was out your holes. Also for the first couple days don't drink out of a straw or smoke as your blood clots can be sucked out and you will have a dry socket which I guess hurts a lot.

Basically you will go to the dentist, lay down. When they give you the medicine they tell you to count down from 10 and by like 6/7 you'll be asleep. You wake up and feel like you have gone on the craziest acid trip. Once you get home you need to take meds and such to keep the pain from getting too much. Since you are getting the removed, I'd imagine you're still in school. So you'll probably miss 1-2 weeks of school. Unless you get dry sockets, its only bad for about 2-3 days after.

Its not that bad at all really unless your wisdom teeth are impacted.
