Hi, I had an iCloud account that I used for about 5 years with no problem. However, I have no use for it anymore and as I went to delete it, i had to verify it.
This would be easy but the only problem is my email was hacked and the password was changed. I was never able to log into it since. Now I have to verify an account that doesn't even exist to reset the phone in order to update apps, transfer photos, etc.
Please help as soon as possible!

Try going to Apple's website and try using recovery questions or additional info to try and get back the apple ID.
Either that or you'll need to contact Apple directly and see if they have any suggestions.
