I've been watching people work on some of the lightning round FUT updates this week and it's actually so unappreciated the amount of work that is put in everytime an update is live.

Will keep TTG updated.

But when they release an 8k reward tournament offline at 12am and then give a loan pack out at 1am, perhaps why people get annoyed.

I'm so tempted too haha, it's such a beautiful pitch with great surroundings

not bragging or lying but I am good at football as well haha, used to play for my local team alongside some players who were Semi Pro's.

they have department games here, like the graphics & audio lads vs developers etc.

hopefully i can get involved!

Sorry I don't understand what you mean?

updates are released at set times to maximise target audience, you may not always be in the correct time zone for this

I understand that, I'm from the UK but does it really matter what the target audience is when doing an offline tournament and then an hour later giving a loan pack out, how does this maximise anything at all?

Also isn't Black Friday about giving out deals? How come EA didn't offer any deals on FIFA Points or any deals on packs instead of keeping them at the same price?

I'm not in Marketing so i can't comment on their decisions, but there are lightning rounds.

and black friday traditionally being an American holiday after thanksgiving these were released as these times to optimize for our American audience.

Hi all,

Just going to use this thread to update you all on my progress.

So i've now completed what they like to call 'system initiation' which is just getting used to all the in-house systems they use at EA. I've pretty much mastered them all & I was lucky enough to see a rare sighting of a patch being uploaded to the Sony server.

(not a lot of people in training get to see a patch go live)

basically what this means is that i personally will now be working on live updates, starting with Team of The Week as I am off tomorrow! I'm extremely excited about now being able to work independently (with someone shadowing me)

*Edit* Just to clarify, i'm not the only person working on TOTW. The whole team I will be joining up with in Budapest when i finish my training also runs this 9/10 times.

That'd be pretty sweet if that happened, maybe you could give us some early info on upcoming events as well.

Obviously not leaks but like teasers etc.

That's the plan mate, the problem is in the live updates department you're near enough constantly working towards stuff that goes live that day/tomorrow. So I'll never be able to say like 'yo guys, big things coming next week'

but I will do my very best haha.
