the law on dumpster diving is diffrent in diffrent places. and if it does have a lock i dont think its legal. and obvi if it says private property or no trespassing where the dumpster is then its not legal. but my local gamestop shares a dumpster with a few other places so they don't lock it. i've found the amazing kinect adventures a couple times. uh a few psp games some earbuds and a ps3 dualshock controller. not much but i've only been a few times. its somewhat fun because you never know what you'll find. i also found some weird things with a mother board looking thing with some weird looking caples and it was attached to some would that was at T Mobile id suggest doing it just wear gloves and clothes you don't care about if you're actually going to get in the dumpster.

This isn't really popular in the UK, so I have never done it. Isn't this bad for your irl reputation? In the UK you would get called a tramp for doing this...

Pretty much agree with this lad, there's no way you're gonna catch a financially stable human being in the UK going through bins to find things

Seeing a lot of people questioning the idea of diving, so I'll explain. Firstly, if you go to game stores or video stores, you're bound to find perfectly good games, consoles, and game accessories. Secondly, you have to be an idiot to get into some nasty shit when pulling out the bags gamestop throws out.

Why would you not want free consoles you can sell and make money off of? Sure, you can have a job, but more money is always a good thing to have nowadays.
