What is a good desktop or laptop to consider if I mainly want one to play heavily modded versions of Fallout assuming my budget is $1200-$1500? I understand there will be performance loss as some mods are huge but in my price range I want to know how well it will handle the mods and if I need to increase my price range to get the smoothness Im looking for.
PS: All of my Fallout 3 and NV play was done on console so Im not that educated in the specs of a computer so Im really a noob at computer gaming as Ive never had the money to afford a PC.
Thanks in advance

Do you need a monitor, KB, or mouse?
Will you overclock? (very little performance gain in games, only useful when editing)
Is the primary use gaming?

Yeah I need a kb and mouse if i get desktop. I use a monitor for my console gaming which I can aldo use if I get a desktop.
The primary use is going to be gaming and also I am going to start doing YT also hopefully. So yeah I guess I could overclock.

Could add another 390 in XFire. Can get another 250gb SSD if you wanted. Nice water cooler and overclockable i5.

You can always get a 1440p panel if you wanted, but will put you over budget by about $50-$75

I kinda went all out here with no SSD and a 980ti.
It is a beast rig and can play games 1080, 1440 and 4k.

More balanced less expensive
